Lesson 9: The Importance Of Asking For Help
The Importance Of Asking For Help
Sometimes, we come across things online that make us feel unsure, confused or uncomfortable. It’s important to know that it’s okay to ask for help when you’re not sure about something. Here’s what you can do:
Talk to a trusted adult:
When you’re unsure about something you see or experience online, you can talk to a grown-up you trust, like your parents, a teacher, or another responsible adult. They are there to help and guide you, and they can explain things or answer your questions.
Share your concerns:
When you’re feeling unsure or uncomfortable about something, don’t keep it to yourself. Open up and tell the trusted adult what’s bothering you. They can provide advice and support to help you understand and handle the situation.
Show them what you saw:
If there’s something specific that you’re unsure about, show it to the trusted adult. You can take a screenshot, explain what happened or show them immediately. This way, they will have a better understanding of what you’re concerned about and can help you.
