The My Body Is My Body Foundation (“MBIMB”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled in a safe and responsible way. What Information We Collect

We collect personal data that you voluntarily provide to us, including:

Name, email address, phone number, and country of residence.
 Details you provide when signing up as an Ambassador, Presenter, or volunteer.
 Course enrolment details and progress (if you take part in MBIMB online training).
 Any messages, photos, or documents you choose to share via email, WhatsApp, or our website forms.

Communicate with you about MBIMB activities, courses, and updates.
 Manage your Ambassador, Presenter, or volunteer participation.
 Administer and improve our online learning systems.
 Comply with safeguarding and child protection obligations.
 Maintain charity governance and record keeping.

We process your data under one or more of the following lawful bases:
Consent – for example, when you opt in to receive communications or submit a form.
Legitimate Interest – such as managing volunteer engagement or course delivery, assessed through a balancing test to ensure your rights are protected.
Legal Obligation – for safeguarding or other statutory duties.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How We Store and Protect Your Data

We may share limited data only with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our website, courses, or communications, for example:
WordPress (website and course hosting)
Google Drive, Gmail, Analytics
WhatsApp or equivalent tools for communication
Each processor is bound by a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and must comply with data protection law. We never share your data for marketing purposes.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. Any photos, videos, or materials featuring children are shared only with parental or guardian consent and handled with strict safeguarding oversight.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
