MBIMB “Little Learners”

For Parents & Educators
Hello, and welcome to My Body Is My Body Little Learners!

Little Learners is our free musical programme for children aged 3 to 5. Through songs, stories, movement and play, we help children begin to understand that their bodies deserve respect, their feelings matter and they can ask for help.

They’ll meet Georgie the Bear and Melody the Butterfly, who help us explore these messages in a gentle, friendly way.

You don’t need to be a singer or a performer. What matters is being prepared, sharing the messages clearly and making time to listen.

This course is for early years practitioners and educators. Parents and carers can also use it to support learning at home. We’ll look at how to prepare, lead short activities and adapt them so children can take part in their own way. Then I’ll take you through each of our six songs.

We’ll also cover what to do if a child needs help or shares something concerning. Please complete the safeguarding training and checks required for your role, and follow your setting’s procedures. This course supports teaching Little Learners; it doesn’t replace those arrangements.

One message will run through everything we do: keeping children safe is an adult’s responsibility. A child is never to blame for being harmed, whatever they did or didn’t say or do.

So, have your Little Learners resources ready, and let’s begin.

Please watch our MBIMB Little Learners Introduction Video and download our teaching Tutorials and Children’s Book so you can follow aloing with the lessons.
